The Union Home Ministry has denied the CPI(M)'s allegation contained in a petition to the Election Commission about NSA Ajit Doval's presence at a BJPs political strategy meeting in Home Minister Rajnath Singh's house.
In a statement, the MHA said, "There is a well-established practice of Home Ministry holding regular morning meetings to review national security and public order." The MHA said Doval and a few other officials were a part of one such meeting on January 14 at Rajnath Singh's house.
Responding to allegations by the Tripura state unit of the CPI (M), it said that the NSA did not attend a political meeting at Home Minister Rajnath Singh's house on January 14.
