After GoI's gazette notification dt. 10.06.2016 (Web-link below), the post of Member (Finance), Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has been the first to be advertise on Saturday for filling a vacancy under the new guidelines. However, the post of Member-Finance has been advertised without making provisions for candidates belonging to the Pvt. Sector and state PSEs. Since DVC is not a CPSE but a statutory body constituted through an act of Parliament, the Central govt. has to make a prior notification before starting the selection process. For instance, in 2013, the Ministry of Power notified through a Gazette notification for the selection of the board-level officials.
