Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that the Centre has given its consent to extend the service period of Manipur Chief Secretary Rajni Ranjan Rashmi (IAS:1983:AM) by three months.
Rashmi is due to complete his extended tenure on December 31. He was given three months extension beginning 01 October 2017. With the Centre's consent Rashmi gets another lease of life in service which will end on 31 March 2017.
It may be noted that he was appointed Manipur Chief Secretary on July 06, 2017; almost three months ahead of his retirement (i.e. 30 Sept 2017) vice Oinam Nabakishore Singh (IAS:1984:MN) who tendered his resignation as protest after he was on transferred as DG, Officers Training Academy.
