Bhopal (18.01.2024): The Madhya Pradesh government on January 17, 2024 appointed senior Veera Rana (IAS: 1988: MP) as the new Chief Secretary (CS). Rana has also been given the additional charge of the MP Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) as its chairperson.Rana was serving as acting CS after the retirement of incumbent Iqbal S Bains. IAS officer Nirmala Buch was the first woman CS of Madhya Pradesh and she served in the top post in the early 1990s.The government also appointed Sanjay Bandopadhyay (IAS: 1988: MP), who was recently repatriated to the cadre, as chairman of the MP Employees Selection Board which was earlier known as Vyapam.(ALSO READ)
