Legislative Department gets Reeta Vasishta as new Secretary

1560New Delhi (04.10.2021): Senior Indian Legal Service officer Ms Reeta Vasishta has been appointed as the new Secretary, Legislative Department in the Law Ministry. Prior to this, she worked as an additional secretary in the Legislative Department. The post was lying vacant since early May following the demise of G Narayan Raju. In the meanwhile, Law Secretary Anoop Kumar Mendiratta held the additional charge of the legislative department. Considered as the top draftsperson of the government Legislative Secretary is responsible for drafting and clearing key legislative proposals before they are introduced in Parliament.
