  • Saurabh Mishra- Dept of Financial Services
  • Dinesh Dayanand Jagdale- Ministry of New and Renewable Energy

DOPT had in June 2018 invited applications for the JS-level posts in various ministries/departments through "lateral entry" mode which was then considered an ambitious step of NaMo administration to bring in fresh talent in bureaucracy. Till July 30, 2018 approx 6077 applications were received in response to the government's advertisement.

It may be underlined that JS-level posts  are manned by the All India Service (IAS, IPS & IFoS) and Central Services cadre selected through a three-phased rigorous selection process undertaken by the UPSC.
