The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Friday cleared the appointment of Sudeep Kumar Lakhtakia (IPS:1984:TG) as Director General of National Security Guard (NSG). Currently he is serving as Special DG in Central Reserve Force.
Lakhtakia will be taking over from Sudhir Pratap Singh (IPS:1983:RJ), the outgoing DG retiring this month.
