Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that Kundan Kumar (IAS:2004:BH) may soon be appointed as PS to the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh. Currently Kundan Kumar serves as Deputy Secretary in Cabinet Secretariat.
The post fell vacant after the repatriation of Nitesh Kumar Jha (IAS:2002:UD) to Uttarakhand; his parent cadre.
As DM of Samastipur earlier in his career, Kundan Kumar (IAS:BH:2004) won the prestigious Prime Minister Award for Excellence in Public Administration for his initiative in "Saving the Wombs" on the Civil Services Day on April 21, 2015.
