New Delhi (18.04.2023): In a bureaucratic rejig in Haryana this week whistle-blower officer Ashok Khemka (IAS: 1991: HY) got new assignment as Additional Chief Secretary, Archives Department.
Following the reshuffle a section of officers at Centre as well in state murmured that despite taking apparently a U turn to woo the incumbent dispensation but failed to impress the dispensation in the current reshuffle too.
While citing some of his tweets this section of his critics believed that with few years of residual service Khemka might have taken few attempts to get his due from Centre as well state but failed to impress.
It may be recalled that one of the Khemka’s tweets back in 2019 read; “A likely all-time world record that 226 million votes were cast in the name of the one and only Sri Narendra Modi.” Then he was factually correct and politically correct as well but in a system like ours often uprightness fails to reward correctness.
At few more occasions his tweets grabbed extension but getting the charge of Department of Archives again as ACS is something that endorses the view of his critics.
