Kochi (03.06.2025): The Kerala High Court has ordered to change of cadre of IPS officer D Shilpa (IPS: 2015) from Kerala to Karnataka. Shilpa was originally allotted Kerala cadre. The Division Bench observed that the petitioner, a native of Karnataka, was wrongly assigned Kerala cadre.The court directed that a decision regarding her inclusion in the Karnataka cadre should be taken within two months. At present, she is serving as AIG at the Kerala Police Headquarters. The petitioner argued that she was excluded from the Karnataka cadre due to an error during cadre allocation in 2015.
