The public sector headhunter on May 31 selected Balraj Joshi for the post of Chairman & Managing Director, National Hydro Power Corporation (NHPC). Currently Joshi serves on the Board of NHPC as Director (Tech).
PESB had interviewed seven candidates namely; Ratish Kumar (Director- Proj, NHPC);Balraj Joshi (Director- Tech, NHPC); Rakesh (ED, NHPC); Nand Lal Sharma (Director- Pers, SJVNL); Rakesh Kumar Sinha (Director- HR, National Textiles Ltd); Nikhil Kumar Jain (Director- Pers, NHPC) and Rajib Kumar Mishra (Director- Marketing, PTC India Ltd)
Joshi, subject to requisite clearances and ACC ratification, would succeed the outgoing CMD K M Singh on 01 August this year. He will have more than two years long tenure as NHPC chief.
