Joshi has asked officials to draft an action plan for rejuvenating the rivers

in accordance with the guidelines of the National Green Tribunal (NGT). Chairing a meeting of the state
rivers' rejuvenation committee, Joshi also asked officials to prepare a
watershed plan. In this regard, he asked
officials to hand over the data from irrigation, groundwater, metro waterworks,
municipal and industries departments to the National Environmental Engineering
Research Institute by January 5.
