As Indianmandarins had anticipated in its report dated May 26 (web-link below), Ravi Loku Joseph (IPS:1995:UP) appointed IG, BSF on promotion. In his new stint as IG Joseph replaced Sudesh Kumar (IPS:1987:KL) who completed his deputation tenure in Govt of India on May 29.
Reportedly, four IPS officers belonging to 1995 batch (posted at centre) are yet to get IG berth on promotion.
