Jha, a 1993 batch IFS officer, enjoys the confidence of Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar and heads the Policy Planning Division as Joint Secretary, MEA.
Further Y K Sinha, who completes his tenure in Srilanka, could replace Navtej Sarna (IFS:1980) as Indian High Commissioner in the United Kingdom. Sarna is all set to replace the outgoing Ambassador to the US Arun Singh.
