In the month of July last year he was replaced with Alok Ranjan (IAS:1978:UP) and was further appointed as Chairman, Revenue Board (UP) in the last week of July. As 'Indianmandarins' in its report (January 31, 2015) had said that Usmani was expected to take oath as UP, CIC in 2nd week of February.
