IAS Association meets MoS, PMo & Personnel; seeks undeterred functioning

ias-officers-delegation-meets-dr-jitendra-singh-seeks-undeterred-functioning[caption id="attachment_20159" align="alignnone" width="300"] Office Bearers: Central IAS Association[/caption] A delegation of Central IAS Officers' Association, led by its Honorary Secretary Sanjay Bhoosreddy (IAS:1989:UP), met Dr Jitendra Singh, MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions and urged him to ensure that honest and sincere officers do not feel deterred in taking administrative decisions in public interest. Dr Amardeep Singh Bhatia (IAS:1993:NL), Honorary Treasurer; Abhishek Singh (IAS:1995:NL) Jt secretary, IT Cell and Ankur Garg (IAS:2003:UT) Incharge, UT also represented the delegation. The delegation suggested to revisit the laws including the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973, and sought protection for both the working as well as retired officers, including appropriate legal assistance for fighting court cases. The MoS assured the delegation of the Government's commitment to ensure that IAS officers are able to carry out their functions fearlessly. He also disclosed that according to the government's revised guidelines, in case of any IAS officer being placed under suspension by a State Government, the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Government of India will have to be intimated within 24 hours.
