New Delhi (13.08.2021): If some well-placed sources are to be believed RC Mishra may be picked as Haryana DGP. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has reportedly cleared the panel of three senior-most IPS officers; DG (Vigilance) PK Agrawal (IPS:1988:HY), DG (Crime) Mohammad Akil (IPS:1989:HY), and Haryana Police Housing Corporation MD RC Mishra (IPS:1989:HY).

The ML Khattar Government is expected to take a final call now. It is believed that Agrawal being the senior-most officer on the panel has the maximum chances yet Mishra appears the front-runner.

The empanelment committee headed by UPSC member Rajiv Nayan Choubey met in New Delhi on August 12, 2021 and approved the minutes of the meeting and the selected panel.

Subject to the final decision of the State Government either of the three may replace Manoj Yadava (IPS:1988:HY) who is expected to make a comeback in the Intelligence Bureau on his own request for central deputation.
