Chandigarh (20.04.2021): The Khattar Government on Tuesday reinstated 2001 batch IPS officer Hemant Kalson (55) in service. It may be underlined that Director General of Police (DGP) Manoj Yadava had on August 24, 2021 recommended the suspension of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Hemant Kalson who was arrested on August 22 for allegedly assaulting and abusing two women after trespassing into their houses in Panchkula’s Pinjore. Following DGP’s recommendation, the state Home Ministry had cleared Kalson’s suspension file. The 55-year-old IGP, Home Guards, posted in Panchkula, was in judicial custody. In the first case, a woman, who also happens to be Kalson’s cook, alleged that the IGP barged into her house and thrashed her daughter.
