Chandigarh (15.06.2022): Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar has raised objections and written to Punjab governor-cum-UT administrator Banwarilal Purohit over unjust distribution of departments to Haryana cadre IAS and IPS officers in the UT administration.
The CM sent two letters to the Governor in the past two months. The first was written on March 31; the second on May 28. Terming it a clear violation of the spirit of the Punjab Reorganisation Act, 1966 and the principle of 60:40 distribution of posts between Punjab and Haryana with no stipulation for the UT, the CM has requested Purohit to look into the matter in order to assign the duties to the IAS officers of Haryana state cadre on deputation with the administration without any discrimination.
