Following the clearance from Union Home Ministry Delhi LG on Monday announced the appointment of Gyanesh Bharti (IAS:1998:UT) as Commissioner, South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC). Prior to this Ms Varsha Joshi (IAS:1995:UT), Commissioner, North DMC, held the additional charge of SDMC since 31.05.2019.  

Prior to this he served as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Environment & Forests and Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat.
