Gandhinagar (30.05.2022): Gujarat Chief Secretary Pankaj Kumar (IAS: 1986: GJ) has been given an extension in service who was scheduled to retire on May 31. The state government received the approval from the Government of India to extend the service of chief secretary Pankaj Kumar. Now, the general administration department will issue a formal order on Monday. Kumar was appointed as the chief secretary after his predecessor Anil Mukim’s extended tenure ended in August 2021. Kumar had earlier served as secretary to PM Modi when he was the Gujarat chief minister.
