New Delhi (30.05.2022): The BJP has announced a list of six candidates for Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh which does not have the name of Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi. The party can win one more seat from UP and a close contest is expected on another seat that the BJP wants to field on a Lucknow-based industrialist. So either Zafar Islam or Naqvi will get the chance or both might not get the chance and BJP may field RCP Singh – the JD (U) minister as the BJP candidate. Is it the end of the road for Naqvi if he is denied Rajya Sabha or he may emerge as a dark horse for the post of Vice President of India?
