New Delhi (27.09.2025): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has appointed 10 Special Director Generals and Special Directors in various Central Armed Police Forces and Intelligence Services from various cadres. Some of the posts have been in-situ upgraded. The names and new positions are as follows.
- Zaki Ahmad (IPS: 1993: UP), IG, CRPF, has been appointed as Special Director General, CRPF till date of his superannuation i.e. 31.03.2028.
- Raja Srivastava (IPS: 1994: UP), ADG, CRPF, has been appointed as Special Director General, CRPF till date of his superannuation i.e. 28.02.2029.
- Amit Kumar (IPS: 1994: BH), ADG, CRPF has been appointed as Special Director General, CRPF till date of his superannuation i.e. 31.10.2030.
- Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal (IPS: 1994: TN), ADG, BSF, has been appointed as Special Director General, BSF till date of his superannuation i.e. 31.03.2032.
- Apte Vinayak Prabhakar (IPS: 1994: TG) Addi. Director, IB has been appointed as Special Director, IB on in-situ basis by temporarily upgrading the post for a tenure of two years.
- Manmeet Singh Narang (IPS: 1994: MP) Addi. Director, IB, has been appointed as Special Director, IB on in-situ basis by temporarily upgrading the post for a tenure of two years.
- Anurag Kumar (IPS: 1994: AGMUT), Addi. Director, IB, has been appointed as Special Director, IB on in-situ basis by temporarily upgrading the post for a tenure of two years.
- Rakesh Aggarwal (IPS:1994: HP), ADG, NIA, has been appointed as Special Director General in NIA on in-situ basis by temporarily upgrading the post for a tenure of two years.
- Anupama Nilekar Chandra (IPS:1994: BH), ADG, SSB, has been appointed as Special Director General in SSB on in-situ basis by temporarily upgrading the post for a tenure of two years.
- Deepak Kumar (IPS: 1994: AM), ADG, CRPF, has been appointed as Special Director General in CRPF on in-situ basis by temporarily upgrading the post for a tenure of two years.
