Panipat (29.02.2024) Former Director General of Police (DGP) of Uttarakhand Ashok Kumar (IPS: 1989: UK) has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the Sports University of Haryana. S S Deswal, former DGP, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), was the first VC of the university who had joined in December, 2022, and was appointed as the VC till December, 2025. But Deswal resigned from the post a few days ago.
