Lucknow (23.11.2023): Sulkhan Singh (Retd IPS: 1980: UP),
former Director General of Police (DGP) of Uttar Pradesh, has announced the
formation of a political party — Bundelkhand Loktantrik Party (BLP) -- to
ensure separate statehood for Bundelkhand region. This region encompasses eight
parliamentary constituencies -- four in Uttar Pradesh and four in Madhya
Pradesh. His political venture draws inspiration from Telangana
Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader KC Rao's successful campaign for a separate
Telangana state from Andhra Pradesh. Singh accused successive governments of
neglecting the Bundelkhand region.
