Even as the appointment issue of a new DGP in UP is hogging the limelight, the Yogi administration has created a history of sorts by destroying the rampant superstition among UP politicians and bureaucrats about Noida being a jinxed city.
Hard on the heels of the CM's visit, state chief secretary Rajive Kumar visited the 'jinxed city' for the first time since it was created decades ago. This has also created a history because no CS before him visited the city that fills the state treasury and also generates considerable funds for the kind of politics UP has got accustomed to.
On Monday, January 15, the CS met officials of Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Authority at Noida Authority office. Primarily, he focussed on how to speed up development of Jewar Airport and make the upcoming investors summit a big success. How municipal functions can be made more effective in Noida was also discussed and there could be substantial development by June. The builder-buyer issue was also taken up during the discussion.
Following the meeting, Kumar said that 25,000 flats have been delivered till now and the next two months may see the delivery of another 25,000 flats.
