After going through a tormenting and demoralizing ordeal, IFS officer Sanjiv Chaturvedi is finally promoted to the rank of Conservator of Forest. The Magsaysay Award winner 2002 batch IFS officer had got his cadre changed from Haryana to Uttarakhand. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had sought his services in Delhi Govt (on inter-cadre deputation) to appoint him as his OSD but the Centre denied and wanted him to get back to his newly allotted cadre state of Uttarakhand.
Alarmed by his track record of honesty and probity, it took months for the Uttarakhand Govt to give him a suitable posting. However, it cleared his promotion as CF, a rank given after the completion of 14 years of service, which is equivalent to the DIG rank in IPS.
