Hyderabad (29.07.2022): Former IPS officer T Krishna Prasad is likely to join BJP. The 1987-batch IPS officer from Telangana had retired in 2020. Prasad is likely to join the party on August 2. A select group of individuals, who occupy influential positions in business organizations, are also expected to join the party along with him. PM Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah had directed state leaders to bring well-known faces from all walks of life, and not just political leaders, into the party.
The former police officer runs a social service organisation that helps the poor. The officer’s political leanings could be deduced from his Twitter posts. BJP has already wooed a couple of former civil servants. Party leaders claim many leaders from Congress and TRS will join BJP from August as auspicious period begins.
