New Delhi (23.09.2024): Estate Department of the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) government has asked nine IAS and IPS officers to vacate their official bungalows to get them ready for their new occupants when the elected government would be in place in October after Assembly elections. Several IAS officers have vacated their offices and have asked juniors to do the same. The bureaucrats in J&K have been enjoying extra ordinary powers since 2019 as advisors. Now, ministers will replace them after the formation of the new government. So, the bureaucrats have vacated offices and the Estate department has asked them to vacate their bungalows too. They will get accommodation as per their entitlement in state bureaucratic set up.
