Enforcement Directorate: nine officers appointed as Joint Director

New Delhi (23.01.2025): Following the selection committee’s recommendations, the New Delhi establishment on January 23, 2025 appointed nine IRS officers to the post of Joint Director (Level 12 of Pay Matrix) in the Enforcement Directorate. Out of these nine officers, five are from the Income Tax cadre while two are from Indirect Taxes & Customs cadre. Two Deputy Directors have made it to the list as Joint Director on regular promotion for the vacancy year 2025 while the decision in respect to one officer was kept in the sealed cover. 
List of the newly appointed Joint Directors goes as follows:-
  1. Praveen Shekhar (IRS IT: 2012) appointed for a period of four years
  2. Nishi Chaudhary (IRS IT: 2013) appointed up to 23.03.2026 (overall deputation period of 7 years)
  3. Visakh K (IRS IT: 2013) appointed up to 30.12.2027 (overall deputation period of 7 years)
  4. Prabhakar Prabhat (IRS IT: 2013) appointed up to 31.03.2028 (overall deputation period of 7 years)
  5. Satyakam Dutta (IRS IT: 2013) appointed up to 08.04.2028 (overall deputation period of 7 years)
  6. Ramdhan Dagar (IRS C&IT: 2013) appointed up to 01.11.2027 (overall deputation period of 7 years)
  7. Ajay Luhach (IRS (C&IT: 2013) appointed up to 05.11.2027 (overall deputation period of 7 years)
Joint Directors appointed on promotion from Deputy Director (DD) level:
  1. Gurvinder Kaur appointed on officiating basis against an existing vacancy up to 30.11.2025 and on regular basis, w.e.f. 01.12.2025.
  2. Sharad Kumar appointed on officiating basis against 01 anticipated vacancy w.e.f. 01.12.2025.
It may be underlined that the recommendations of the Selection Committee in respect of Rakesh Ranjan Kumar was kept in a 'Sealed Cover'.
