New Delhi (03.06.2024): In a rare move, Election Commission of India (ECI) took a Suo Moto cognisance and issued a notice to senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh for his tweet alleging Union Home Minister Amit Shah for calling 150 DMs/SPs to influence counting which is scheduled for June 4, 2024. The ECI had asked for his response and list of officers who were made a call by the Home Minister. ECI issued five notices to the BJP and four to the Congress so far.
