New Delhi (22.05.2026): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension of deputation tenure of Anurag Garg (IPS: 1993: HP) on the post of Director General, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) up to 31.07.2027, i.e. the date of his superannuation.His was appointed DG, NCB on 17.09.2024 for a tenure up to 23.05.2026 replacing Anish Dayal Singh, who was holding additional charge along with DG, CRPF.ALSO READ

New Delhi (22.05.2026): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension of deputation tenure of Anurag Garg (IPS: 1993: HP) on the post of Director General, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) up to 31.07.2027, i.e. the date of his superannuation.
His was appointed DG, NCB on 17.09.2024 for a tenure up to 23.05.2026 replacing Anish Dayal Singh, who was holding additional charge along with DG, CRPF.
