In view of a growing number of COVID-19 cases in Delhi and to deal with further spike, the Delhi government has constituted five committees under IAS officers to deal with this global pandemic. Delhi Disasters Management Authority has brought 11 IAS officers into these teams to execute its plan in the city.

The first team will be known as Medical Emergency Plan will be headed by Gyanesh Bharati (IAS:1998: UT) with the health secretary of Delhi government Padmini Singla (IAS:2002:AGMUT) being part of it. The second team is headed by Ankita Mishra Bundela (IAS:2001:AGMUT) with K K Dahiya, Yogita Munjal, and Pankaj Kumar in it.

The third team is headed by Vivek Pandey (IAS:2003:AGMUT) for quick response by coordination with many other organizations and institutions. Praveen Kumar is heading the fourth team with the help of Shamim Akhtar to manage people’s awakening and data management. Additional chief secretary Satya Gopal (IAS:1988:UT) is heading the fifth team that will look into the implementation of lockdown related schemes with Ravi Dhawan (IAS:2011:AGMUT) and Anand Tiwari (DANICS: 1995) being part of it. Every team has at least one expert.
