As environment minister, Prakash Javadekar was usually out of Delhi on the weekends. Most of the time, he would travel to Maharashtra, his home state, or Madhya Pradesh, which he represents in Rajya Sabha. Following a detour, new Environment Minister Anil Madhav Dave visits every state. In his three months in office so far, Dave has been to Punjab, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Puducherry and, most recently, Manipur and Mizoram. During these trips, he interacted with the public besides meeting officials and government functionaries.
