New Delhi (06.06.2025): V Srinivas (IAS: 1989: RJ), Secretary,
Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), has been
elected President of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences
(IIAS) for the 2025–2028 term. Srinivas was nominated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,
reflecting India’s strategic commitment to advancing global standards in
governance and civil services. In the elections held on June 3, India secured 61.7% of the
votes, defeating Austria’s state representative, Dr Alexander Balthazar, who
received 38.3%. Prominent members include Japan, China, Germany, Italy, South
Korea, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and Switzerland.
