New Delhi (16.09.2025): The Central Secretariat Forum (CSS Forum) is set to launch a month-long "Kartavya Abhiyan" (Duty Campaign) starting September 17, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. The campaign, which will run until October 16, aims to promote transparency, contentment, and a spirit of public service among government employees.
As part of the initiative, the CSS Forum will host a blood donation camp at Kartavya Bhawan on September 17. The event, held in collaboration with the armed forces, is dedicated to the nation’s brave soldiers under the theme, "A Tribute to our Brave Soldiers" and "Serving the Nation Beyond Desks – Kartavya through Blood Donation." Through this act, CSS officers intend to demonstrate that their commitment to duty extends beyond the confines of their desks.
The campaign's agenda also includes several other key activities:
- A special redressal drive from September 17 to 30 to prioritize and resolve pending complaints.
- A cleanliness campaign in all ministries and departments from October 1 to 5.
- The celebration of CSS Day on October 16 as the "Central Secretariat Service Duty Celebrations."
- A renewed focus on providing timely and transparent information under the RTI Act.
- A push for greater use of Hindi in administrative tasks.
According to Yatendra Chandela, General Secretary of the CSS Forum, the campaign is inspired by the Prime Minister's vision. "Duty is not only confined to administration but is a commitment to serve the nation," Chandela said. "Taking inspiration from the Prime Minister, our goal is to foster people's participation with a spirit of service."
