New Delhi (11.03.2024): Central Secretariat Services (CSS) Cadre officials will take out a peace march at Nirman Bhawan at 1 pm today. This will be the second such protest by the CSS cadre officials in a week’s time.

There is an anger among the secretariat officials as even after more than one-and-half years of cadre review committee was constituted but the report is still pending. These thousands of officers had earlier taken out a successful march at Shastri Bhawan on March 7. If the demands are not accepted then a march will be taken out in North Block on March 13 and the Secretariat officers are also ready for non-cooperation movement.

Apart from cadre review, many issues like time bound promotion, NFU, ban on deputation, CSS Day etc are pending for the last 10 years. The Central Secretariat is one of the oldest organized services in the country and is considered the backbone of the Central Government, which plays an important role in the formulation and implementation of government policies.
