New Delhi (07.04.2025): Ahead of the selection interview for two Board-level positions in Cochin Shipyard Limited, shortlisting a single list of eleven candidates for two positions is something that is unheard of in the recent past. 
Sources in Cochin Shipyard say that the same set of eleven shortlisted candidates would be interviewed and evaluated simultaneously for the Board-level positions of Director (Technical) and Director (Operations) this month vice Bejoy Bhaskar and Sreejith Narayanan respectively who are scheduled to retire on May 31, 2025.
Sources in Cochin Shipyard say that a sort of combined interviews for the two positions are expected to be held and results would be announced seamlessly. 
Not surprisingly, the interview is structured to pick two suitable candidates for the two board-level positions in the same PSU. It may invite criticism yet some may appreciate the innovative- framework devised by the Board led by Mallika Srinivasan. The experience, skill sets and job description for the position of Director (Operations) and Director (Technical) are synergetic thus making the task of selection easier, efficient and time-saving. Still, a combined interview for two board-level positions would draw the attention of many.
