Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that the Centre has cleared a proposal of the Karnataka Govt on extending the term of Chief Secretary Arvind Jadhav (IAS:1978:KN). Reportedly, Jadhav has been given a three-month extension. He was scheduled to superannuate on June 30. Indianmandarins had said last week that the DoPT received the extension proposal from K'taka Govt which might be considered shortly. Now the State Govt may notify Jadhav's extension soon. Jadhav will serve as Chief Secretary to the Govt of Karnataka up to September 30, 2016.
