Sudhir Rajpal (IAS: 1990: HY) and Dr Sumita Misra (IAS: 1990: HY) appear to be key contenders. Rajpal is scheduled to retire in November 2026. Dr Sumita Misra has her retirement in January 2027. V Umashankar (IAS: 1993: HY) and Raja Shekhar Vundru (IAS: 1990: HY) are other officers who may be considered for the job.
