CBIC: 24 IRS officers empanelled as Principal Chief Commissioner

New Delhi (21.09.2024): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet cleared the empanelment of total twenty four Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes) officers for promotion in the rank of Principal Chief Commissioner/Principal Director General.
The list of empanelled officers has some interesting worth underlining aspects as well. 
Of twenty four; Dr KN Raghavan retired in May this year whereas fourteen officers will hang boots next year. Three each will retire in yr 2026 and 2028 whereas four will retire in 2027.
The list of officers empanelled goes as follows:

It would be interesting and worth underlining that Dr K N Raghavan (1990) has several accolades to his credit. Though the government empanelled him after he retired in May this year, is an MBBS doctor, an International Cricket Umpire accredited BCCI who umpired One Day Internationals, author of five books, former First Secretary in Indian High Commission at Singapore, a long-distance marathon runner.
