New Delhi (26.09.2025): In a significant move, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) cleared the empanelment of sixteen officers of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes) for promotion to the high-ranking grade of Principal Chief Commissioner/Principal Director General of Customs and Indirect Taxes; an Apex level position.
The decision covers both the Supplementary Panel for the year 2025 and the Regular Panel for the year 2026.
The list of officers empanelled for the two panels is as follows:
The officers approved for the supplementary panel are:
  1. Mayank Kumar
  2. Madan Mohan Singh
  3. Shrawan Kumar
  4. L. Satya Sriniwas
  5. Arti A. Srinivas
  6. Charul Baranwal
The officers empanelled for the regular panel of 2026 include:
  1. M. Subramaniam
  2. Sanjay Rathi
  3. Nitish Kumar Sinha
  4. Shailendra Kumar Sinha
  5. Abhai Kumar Srivastav
Further, an Extended Panel has also been approved. This panel is set to be operated in lieu of officers empanelled in the main or extended panels who are retiring during the year 2026. The officers on this Extended Panel are:
  1. S.K. Vimalanathan
  2. Vimal Kumar Srivastava
  3. Pranesh Pathak
  4. Rajendra Singh
