Act, 1988 against Director of Private Airlines Limited, Bengaluru (Karnataka); Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of Private Air Group, Malaysia; Dy. GCEO of Private Air, Berhad, Malaysia; Director of a Private Company, Singapore; Chairman of a Private Company, Mumbai; Principal & Founder of Consulting Company and other unknown public servants of Ministry of Civil Aviation & the then FIPB (Govt of India). It was alleged that unknown public servants & others entered into a conspiracy with these officials and other accused persons with intent to help Private Airlines (India) Ltd. to expedite the approval process and change in aviation policies to suit the company. It was further alleged that FIPB and FDI norms were violated by them by giving effective management control to a foreign entity by making the accused a de-facto subsidiary indirectly rather than a joint venture. It was also alleged that they had used several persons at the instance of said Group Controller in lobbying with the unknown officials of Ministry of Civil Aviation get favorable orders. It was further alleged that they bribed unknown public servants for securing permit for operation of international scheduled air transport services. Searches were conducted in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore which led to recovery of certain documents. Investigation is continuing.
