The CBI has arrested R S Kaushik, the serving MD of Intelligent Communication System India Limited (ICSIL, a PSU). Former MD of ICSIL G K Nanda too arrested by the CBI yesterday. CBI believed that Kaushik and Nanda connived with Rajendra Kumar (IAS:1989:UT) being probed by the CBI in a multi-crore scam. CBI alleged that Kumar favoured ESPL for Delhi government contracts by manipulating ICSIL to sublet contracts given to it. Interestingly, A K Duggal, another former MD of ICSIL too was named in the FIR registered by the CBI in December last year.
Kaushik and Nanda, the serving and the former MDs of ICSIL, awarded contracts worth several crores to Endeavour Systems Pvt Ltd (ESPL) in violation of rules. The CBI claimed that ESPL was the front company of Rajendra Kumar, the suspended PS to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
