Vanaja N Sarna, Central Board Of Excise and Customs Chairman, laid the foundation stone for the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN), Zonal Training Institute (ZTI) at Attapur, Hyderabad in presence of S Ramesh, CBEC Member (Admin) and Archana P Tiwari, DG, NACIN, New Delhi.
NACIN is the apex institute of Government of India for capacity building of Civil Servants in the field of Indirect Taxation, particularly in the areas of GST, Customs and Narcotics. NACIN is the nodal agency for training of the GST stakeholders and has been playing a crucial role in training of GST officers of the Center and the States.
Projected cost of Attapur project is around Rs 47 Cr and is expected to take 02 years to complete.
