Chairman Ravi Agrawal (IRS IT: 1988) is scheduled to complete his nine months extension while Member (Admin) Prabodh Seth (IRS IT: 1989) too may join his chairman while bidding adieu to the Board on June 30, 2025. Whether the Government gives another extension to Ravi Agrawal on a contract basis or not is a matter of conjecture.

Further, the incumbent Member (Legislation) R N Parbat (IRS IT: 1989) will also retire in October this year.

The selection of new members would create a cascading effect necessitating the appointment of DGs and PCCITs in the directorates and field offices. At least three posts of DGs and PCCITs are lying vacant while a few more vacancies are expected to arise this month end.
