'Indianmandarins' has reliably learnt that Chirravuri Viswanath (IAS:AP:1981) may be appointed as new Secretary, Department of Food & Public Distribution under the (Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution).
The incumbent Secretary, Sudhir Kumar (IAS:UP:1978) is scheduled to retire on May 31. Viswanath is currently heading the Food Corporation of India as CMD in the rank of Secretary.
