The senior IPS officer from MP cadre Ms Rina Mitra (IPS:1983:MP) has been appointed Additional Director General in the Border Security Force. Currently she serves in her cadre state (MP) as DG (Police Housing). She will have tenure at centre till her superannuation on 31 August 2019.
She is the second woman IPS officer to be posted in BSF tasked to guard important Indian frontiers with Pak and Bangladesh.
In her previous stint at centre she served in CBI, Wildlife Crime Control Bureau, Railway Protection Force, Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) and National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science (NICFS).
