New Delhi (15.12.2025): B Sairam, Chairman cum Managing Director, Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), has been appointed to the post of Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD), Coal India Limited (CIL) up to his superannuation i.e. 31.03.2028. The name of B Sairam was recommended by the PESB on September 20, 2025. As the new CMD of Coal India Limited, Sairam succeeds P M Prasad, who retired on 31.10.2025. It may be underlined that as an interim arrangement, Sanoj Kumar Jha (IAS: 1997: SK), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Coal, was holding the additional charge of CMD of Coal India Ltd (CIL).ALSO READ

New Delhi (15.12.2025): B Sairam, Chairman cum Managing Director, Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), has been appointed to the post of Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD), Coal India Limited (CIL) up to his superannuation i.e. 31.03.2028.
