The NaMo administration on Friday effected a major appointment and in-situ elevation at Additional Secretary level as follows:

  1. Ms B V Umadevi (IFoS:1987:CG), presently in the cadre, appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change.
  2. Rajiv Bansal (IAS:1988:NL), presently AS&FA, appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.
  3. Rajesh Aggarwal (IAS:1989:MH), DG (Training) in Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, appointed as AS&FA in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas vice Rajiv Bansal.
  4. Manoj Joshi (IAS:1989:KL), presently in the cadre, as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
  5. Chandan Sinha, (IAS:1989:WB), presently in the cadre, appointed as Director General, National Archives of India, Ministry of Culture in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
  6. Ms. Anita Praveen (IAS:1989:TN), Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Department of Posts, appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Telecommunications.
  7. Sanjay Malhotra (IAS:1990:RJ), presently in the cadre, appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power.
  8. Niten Chandra (IAS:1990:OR), presently in the cadre, appointed as Secretary, Central Information Commission in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
  9. Ms. Meeta R Lochan (IAS:1990:MH), ADG, Foreign Trade in the Department of Commerce, appointed as Member Secretary, National Commission for Women inthe rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
  10. Gudey Srinivas (IAS:1990:OR), presently in the cadre, appointed as AS&FA, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution.
  11. Kamran Rizvi (IAS:1991:UP), Additional Secretary, Department of Rural Development, appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs.
  12. Rajlt Punhani (IAS:1991:BH), CVO in NTPC, appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Home Affairs vice Bhupendra Singh (IAS:985:UP) upon his superannuation on 31.12.2019.
  13. Subhas Chandra Lal Das (IAS:1992:UT), JS in MHA, appointed as DG, Hydrocarbons Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary vice V P Joy (IAS:1987:KL).
  14. Sanjeev Kaushik (IAS:1992:KL), presently in the Cadre, appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Financial Services vice Ravi Mittal (IAS:1986:BH)
  15. Sanjay Kumar (IAS:1992:NL), Joint Secretary in the Department of School Education & Literacy, appointed as AS&FA in the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways vice Shambhu Singh (IAS:1986:MN) upon his superannuation on 31.12.2019.
  16. Ms. Nidhi Khare (IAS:1992:JH), Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs.
  17. Vineet Joshi (IAS:1992:MN), presently Director General, National Testing Agency, Ministry of Human Resource Development, was in-situ elevated in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
